About the Client

Adventure Sports are the go-to destination for action packed activities in Warwickshire. From quad bike safaris to laser tag, they run a huge range of activities, but their website wasn’t living up to the real-world experience. They needed a website that was modern, fast and easy to integrate with their booking system.

  • Engaging website design

  • Easy access to key information

  • Promotion of additional services

  • Integration with online booking system

The Challenge

Adventure Sports had already chosen their preferred bookings system, Fareharbor. So it was essential that we could create a website that seamlessly integrated with them, but could also provide the key information that customers needed, such as restrictions, requirements and safety information.

Content Design

We developed a content structure that would provide all the information needed for each activity - but we also wanted to create bite-size chunks of information to address key questions that customers often ask.

We did this through the inclusion of sub-titles for headings, and at-a-glance bullet points right at the top of pages to highlight key facts. This includes things like “No licence required” for driving activities, or “Expert tuition” for shooting experiences.

By pre-empting those commonly asked questions, we could instantly remove barriers to users who wanted to book directly.

UX Design

UX Design

Adventure Sports already had an established brand, but their website needed to bring it to life. So instead of rounded edges or standard boxes, we went for sharp diagonals and slanted shapes.

These brought a sense of speed and excitement to the design, and in particular made the images look even more like action shots, giving users more of a flavour of the real experience.

We also incorporated background graphics, such as the sight icon used in the Adventure Sports logo to bring more texture to the pages, and keep the brand identity strong.

Integrated booking system

Adventure Sports had already selected FareHarbor for their booking system, so we needed to ensure that it was perfectly integrated into the website.

As well as creating CTAs across the website to allow people to book, we also integrated real-time booking calendars, giving users the ability to see availability directly on the page.

The outcomes

With their new online booking system, Adventure Sports have freed up time that would have been spent on admin. And the website’s new design has provided the platform to help users find all the information they need to confidently book their next adventure.
