About the Client

Greenspace Leisure install and manage attractions such as fun parks for small children, mini golf courses, paddle boating and land trains. They work in various public places, including Clifton Park in Rotherham, where they also run incredibly popular Christmas events.

The Challenge

Greenspace needed a website that was fun, easy to use and provided key information to anyone looking to visit Clifton Park.They also wanted to encourage purchase of Fun Passes, which can be used to get cheaper rates for attractions, and to promote their annual Christmas Adventure.

Branding & Design

While Greenspace operate many of Clifton Park’s most popular attractions, they don’t own or operate the entire park, so it was essential that we created a standalone brand identity.

We kept it simple, with a green tree icon that represents the entire park, and then expanded this style out across the website, with icons and graphical elements in a range of bright colours to bring an atmosphere of fun.

One of the most important features of this website is the interactive map. This gives people an overview of the park, shows where key facilities and attractions are, and includes links to pages on the website where people can book tickets or find more information.

This map was designed to fit perfectly with the style of the rest of the website, and creates a fantastic feature both visually, and to help people navigate online and in real life too.

Booking a Christmas Adventure

Each year, Greenspace run a Magical Christmas Adventure, which involves a trip to the fun park, and a ride on the land train to visit Santa (with a lot of cool activities on the way!).

Booking for this is based on availability on the train, which means that the system needs to understand the timetable, how many seats are available, and whether anyone needs disability access too.

That meant that standard off the shelf booking systems weren’t really set up to handle the complications, so we created a bespoke system that works to their exact requirements.

The Outcomes

The Clifton Park website is a brilliant resource for Greenspace and other operators, promoting the park as a whole, and showcasing how much fun can be had there.

And for Greenspace specifically, their Magical Christmas Adventure is hugely popular, with people buying tickets as early as September to ensure they secure their seat on the train to see Santa!
