About the Client
Golden Putter run mini golf courses in parks across the country. They wanted to digitalise their scorecards, moving away from paper and pencils and create a new modern website to support their growing business and promote their services.

The Challenge
Golden Putter had an established brand, but it hadn’t been updated for 13 years - and neither had their website. The whole online experience needed updating for the modern world, including the creation of a scoring app that can be used by players on the course.
Branding & Design
We started the process with an in-depth logo design phase. We created several unique logos in different styles and themes, with the client picking their favourite and refining until we had a final logo style.
This was then expanded into a range of fonts, colours and styles that could be used for the website design and the app.

Web app development
The interactive scoring app was a huge part of the project, providing players with an online system for keeping score. This vastly reduced the number of printed scorecards and pencils needed for players to keep track, and also makes it easier for people to share their scores and their experience via social media.
We decided the best option for them would be a web app, or PWA, rather than a native app. That meant that users could access the app in browser via a link or QR code, rather than needing to download an app to their phone.
Integrated booking system
Golden Putter also wanted to integrate a 3rd party booking system into the website, making it easier for visitors to book slots online and ahead of their visit.
They chose FareHarbor, an off-the-shelf system that gave them the functionality they needed. While they weren’t ready for this system to go live at launch, it has been integrated into the website so it’s ready to be activated once the client has the right systems set up at their end.

The outcomes
Golden Putter’s new branding, app and website have given their business a new modern style and outlook.
The web app is also a great way to get visitors more engaged, and sharing their experience, enabling Golden Putter to get fantastic feedback, and promote their brand to a wider audience.

We have worked with Edge of the Web for countless years now and have always been very happy with their work. From design templates, promotional booklets through to full website designs including booking systems. They've done a bit of everything for us and in every case have delivered an excellent end result. Highly recommended
